The Zoo

My mom was babysitting Kirk and Joy's kids while Joy was having Ewan. So she let them skip school and we went to the zoo! I loved Zuri the baby elephant! She was so cute and playful. Wrigley loved the Monkeys, she could not get enough of them. Hunter was really anxious to see the penguins and they weren't letting them out until 1:30, so he kept asking us what time it was cause he didn't want to miss them. Cassia, loved everything I think. She liked the cheetahs and the wolves. Red loved everything too. We had a fun day!

Ewan

My new nephew Ewan Porter was born September 24th. He is so cute! Lots of dirty blonde hair. His brothers and sister love him, and so do I. :)

Strawberry days rodeo

Bethany, Kirk, Joy, their kids and I all went to the strawberry days rodeo this year. I have never been to a rodeo before, unless you count the free one Lindon puts on. I don't know if I'll go again either, it was so squishy that it didn't seem worth the twelve dollars. I did have a good time with my niece and nephews though! The best part of the whole rodeo was the motor cross guys! They were doing back flips off the jump that was unbelievable!

Manti Pageant

So one day my mom and I were driving home from Salt Lake and I saw a billboard for the Manti Pageant. I said "that would be fun to go to" so my mom planned it all and we went. Of course when we planned this Jamey didn't have a job so he was going to be able to come, but the week before we went Kirk got him a job delivering papers. So he had to be to work early and wasn't able to make it. My parents went down a few days before I did cause I ended up having to work. We camped at a camp ground right behind the temple so it was nice not to have to worry about traffic we could just walk. The pageant was so good and the spirit was really amazing! It was pouring my whole drive down until I was about 5 miles out of town, talk about amazing. It didn't rain on us the whole time either, it was a bit chilly though. My mom had heard that if you rub a dryer sheet on you it will keep the mosquitos away, so that's the reason for my silly bib!! We went and took pictures of the motel that we stayed at the night before Jamey and I were married. I couldn't stop laughing at the sign in their window selling bug spray. Jamey's room was infested with bugs when we were there that when they checked in they handed them their key and a can of bug spray and said "you might need this". So I had to get a picture of that, at least they didn't have to pay for their can!

Summerfest

I love the summer fest parade and fireworks!! My favorite of the whole summer by far. Mostly cause it's not a holiday so I can get the day off work!!! We didn't go to the carnival this year cause when Jamey and I walked out the door to go it was pouring! It was like someone poured a huge bucket of water (Like at the legacy pool in Lehi) over our apartment it was raining so hard. I'm glad that it calmed down enough so we could enjoy most of the parade, and the fireworks. It wasn't very fun walking through the booths in a half a foot of mud though, I'm sure it will take a long time for that grass to grow back after that.

Wow

Whew!! That was a lot of blogging for one day! I try not to get so far behind so hopefully this will keep me caught up for a while.

Life through the eyes of Red

While at Cassia's graduation Red got a hold of my camera. Here is what we got from that! Some very freaky close ups of us and him!! Some little fingers, his of course. And some great shots of his "B" (binky). And how can you not love the up side down one?
